Thankful Thursday #1

Every Thursday for the next four weeks, I will be posting 7 things that I am thankful for.
If you do the math: 1 "thankful" per day for 4 weeks = a total of 28 "thankfuls" total. I knew I should have majored in accounting (sarcasm).

Thankful Thursday #1

These are listed in no particular order. Nor does the numbered list indicate importance.

1. My provider, God.
I'm so thankful for a God who provides. Without God I wouldn't have 98% of the 'thankfuls' that I am going to write down over the next few weeks. He provides, protects, blesses, and loves my family & myself- regardless of our short comings. He NEVER fails.

2. My New Friends.
I'm so thankful for my new friends. The year 2012 has had a lot of ups- and a lot of downs, but this year God blessed me beyond measure by putting some REALLY special people in my life. People I can rely on for advice, prayer, laughter, and guidance. People who will listen to my complaining, but still call me "cupcake" at the end of the day.

3. My Education.
I'm so thankful for my bachelors degree in business. It may sound ridiculous (being thankful for a degree). But trying to finish a degree with a household to tend to and two extremely small, dependent children- was tough. There were many days that I questioned if I could do it. I'm thankful for all of the people and perseverance that got me across that finish line.

4. My Carter.
I'm so thankful for our firstborn son. He is a child that always wants to learn something or help someone. He has taught me so much about myself- how to be humble and how to be patient (or at least try to be). He has brought my husband & I even closer together, and gave us a reason to be more responsible than we ever wanted to be.

5. My Mason.
I'm so thankful for our son, Mason. A child that has always had a loving spirit about him. He has brought me such joy. I remember after bringing him home from the hospital feeling so much more "complete." He has taught me how to multitask and enjoy chaos. He has given me more love- and more faith.

6. People in my life- who left.
I'm thankful for any person who ever played a part in my life- and then left. Regardless of what their role was, if they walked out, got booted out, died, or if time just drifted us apart. Every single one of those people helped mold, shape, or chisel me into who I am today. So if you ever impacted me- negatively or positively- I'm thankful for you.

7. My Will.
I'm thankful for my husband, Will. He is hands down the most amazing man that I have ever known. He knows how to be the head of our household without making me feel insignificant. He is a hard worker- at anything that he does. He genuinely wants me to succeed in whatever I want in life. He is everything that I am not. He understands the value of investing money and time into the family unit better than most men twice his age. I couldn't have created a better husband for myself or father for my children. I thank God for this man- every time that I pray.
